Terms of Use
Colosseom (colosseom.io) is a free game run by one person, Xyphien, from Kokomo, Indiana, USA, as part of LonePortal.com ("we", "us"). By playing Colosseom or making an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Colosseom.
Who can play
- Anyone can watch. To get in line, fight and vote, you need a free account with a confirmed email.
- You must be 13 or older to make an account. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms for you.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.
Play fair
Colosseom only works if everyone gets a fair fight. You agree not to:
- cheat, use bots or scripts, or change the game to get an advantage;
- abuse bugs on purpose (if you find one, please tell us);
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers or other players' accounts;
- harass, threaten or bully other players, or pick a username that's hateful, sexual, or pretends to be someone else;
- use more than one account to get extra turns or extra votes;
- buy, sell or trade accounts.
If you break these rules we may rename your account, remove items or Denarii, or suspend or ban it, with or without warning.
Denarii and items
Denarii (the coins you earn by fighting) and looks are part of the game. They have no real-money value, can't be cashed out or traded, and aren't your property: you get to use them in Colosseom while your account is in good standing. We may change prices, items and rewards to keep the game balanced. If we add purchases, any extra terms for them will be shown before you buy.
What you share
Your username, look and match results are shown to other players. Matches may be shown live, replayed, and used in videos or images about Colosseom (for example, a replay of a great final blow).
The game can change
Colosseom is being built in the open. We may change, add or remove features at any time. Matches can be interrupted by connection problems or server updates, and we can't promise the game will always be available or free of bugs.
No warranty
Colosseom is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises or warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost matches, progress, items, Denarii or data, or for what other players say or do. Our total responsibility for all claims about Colosseom is limited to fifty US dollars ($50).
Disagreements
- If you have a problem, email colosseom@loneportal.com first and give us 30 days to try to fix it.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and of the United States.
- Any lawsuit must be filed in the state courts in Howard County, Indiana, or the federal courts for the Southern District of Indiana, and you agree to those courts. Either of us may use small claims court instead if the claim qualifies.
- As far as the law allows, claims must be brought individually (not as part of a class or group) and decided without a jury, and must be brought within one year.
Ending your account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing colosseom@loneportal.com. We may close accounts that break these terms. The parts of these terms about Denarii, warranties, liability and disagreements still apply afterwards.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if it's a big change we'll tell you in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
